Matheus Benatti Joins AgriPlex Genomics as Director of Laboratory Operations

Cleveland, Ohio (April 5, 2023) – Matheus Romanos Benatti, Ph.D. has been named Director of Laboratory Operations at AgriPlex Genomics. Dr. Benatti will be responsible for leading the Cleveland, Ohio laboratory delivering PlexSeq™ genotyping services to the agriculture market, including pre-validated panel services, pre-validated panel kits, tailored kits and AgriPlex Connect. The laboratory serves many functions, including Research & Development, Manufacturing, Quality Control and Software Engineering.
Dr. Benatti brings over 10 years of experience in laboratory management to AgriPlex, most recently as the Genetics Lab Director for the Indiana Crop Improvement Association. In his previous roles, Dr. Benatti’s responsibilities ranged from assay development and process improvement to quality auditing and ISO standardization. He also has experience in team management and building, product and service commercialization, and account management. Matheus earned his Ph.D. in plant biology from Purdue University.
